Illamaqua Lipstick Review

Illamasqua lipstick in Disciple
Price: Like all Illamasqua products it can be a bit pricey for those of us who are budget conscious but I got two lipsticks cheaper than usual.

Packaging

I am in love with Illamasqua packaging, it is a bit like the pigments because it is square with concave sides, very sleek and absolutely gorgeous




Product: This is a matte navy blue colour, it is a bit dry in formula but it stays on very well, I wore this to a concert with glitter over the top and it only faded a slight amount.
It doesn't feather and it relatively easy to apply, it also layers very well so you can wear a lot or a little.
A lot of people wouldn't consider this a 'wearable' or 'everyday' shade but it is definitely a lovely colour and perfect for parties.


Overall: 
This is a beautiful colour, the formula is a little dry but not unbearably so. It lasts very well and isn't patchy or feathery.

Illamasqua Pure Pigments: Review

The products I will be reviewing are:
Illamasqua pure pigments in; Alluvium and Ore

Illamasqua pure pigments:
Price:  At around $40 a pop (AUD) it is rather expensive, if these products weren't so nice and the staff weren't so lovely I probably wouldn't have bought them.
You get 1.3g of product that is incredibly concentrated, only the smallest amount is needed

Packaging:

The packaging on these is simple and elegant, they have very sleek black lids with the incredibly cool Illamasqua logo on top. The containers themselves are a very unique shape, a sort of square with concave sides.
The lids are not screw on so it can be a bit frightening taking them off! You never know how much product might explode over you. The best way to open them is slide your fingernail underneath the lid and slowly shimmy it off.
The top opens to a plastic insert with a hole in it so you can get to the product. I would not recommend travelling with these, the hole inside is quite large so sometimes a lot of pigment get deposited while moving around and it can be very messy.

Product:

Front to Back Alluvium, Ore.
(The eyeliners there are for an upcoming review)

This product, being a pigment is just, totally and completely chock a block full of colour! Only a very small amount is needed for a very bright colour.  I have the shades Alluvium and Ore.
Alluvium a very intense blue with violet undertones. It has yellow and green glitter. The shade is described on their website as an iridescent midnight blue.
This product is an absolutely beautiful colour, it looks incredibly beautiful in the container and also very beautiful on the lids. It is harder to work with compared to Ore but all in all it is a great colour and formula.
I would heavily recommend it for a smoky eye
Ore is an incredibly sparkly golden brown described as Rich, russet bronze.
The thing that really stands out for me is, SPARKLES! the picture really does not do any of these shades justice when it comes to the depth of colour (Especially in Alluvium, it has beautiful violet undertones) Ore is a beautifully gold, brown and it is JUST SO SPARKLY I find it easier to use compared with Alluvium, it seems to go on better.
Both these products are lovely colours, they are bright, intense, and sparkly


Overall:
I recommend these, only if you have the money to spend. I suggest saving up and investigating the other colours on offer. In my opinion they're worth it.
They go on and stay on well (I recommend a primer with these) and are absolutely beautiful.

Lime Crime Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper: Review

Today I am doing a review of  Lime Crime's Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper.
Packaging:
The packaging for this product is very sweet,It is a very heavy duty container, the lid locks and the exterior is thick and strong, so leakage, poor closure and cracks will not be an issue.
EDIT after a while the product in the jar has cracked much to my surprise. But this still doesn't effect the product itself. 
There is 7g of product which will last a long time because a little of this stuff goes a long way.
Price: At $17 US dollars, the price is pretty reasonable. You really wont have to buy them very often as they last for ages!

Product:

The products itself is neutral, beige skin tone in colour and very thick and creamy in texture.

The tiniest amount is needed for brilliant colour coverage and it gets 5 stars for staying power!
I have been swimming while wearing this and still had my eyeshadow look like I had just walked out of the bathroom.

The swatch here shows two lime crime shadows over the primer with flash. The colours are still very true to the originals. (Lime criminal- a bright, lime green and Elf- a discontinued shade of forest green. Almost the same shade is Lime Crime's Mischief Managed) 

Top left: On bare skin straight before photo. Next, to the right: Both over Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper straight before photo. Next: Both shades after a shower and an hour of wear. Faded is over bare skin and brighter over primer.

The picture speaks for itself and it says "RIDICULOUS STAYING POWER"
You’d need a tow truck to get these shadows off!


Downsides to this product are:
Very sticky and thick, if you don't have very oily lids than I would say that this product is not for you, Unless you feel the need to practically glue your shadows to your lids.
The price may be an issue if you are saving but this goes for every make-up product on the market.
